Catholicism For Dummies

Do you have questions about those "Sticky" Catholic rules or happenings in our Church?

We'll meet on Wednesday July 23rd at 6:30PM at St. John the Baptist Church, Quincy, to review those sticky Catholic things that are on our minds and especially, those outside the Church: marriage and family issues, veneration of the saints, Papal authority, heaven, hell, purgatory, a male priesthood, priestly celibacy, the recent scandal and whatever is on your mind.

The session after that will be held on Wednesday August 6th at St. John the Baptist.

Summer Program at the College of Saint Mary Magdalen

Once again, the College of Saint Mary Magdalen in Warner, NH is pleased to announce the dates for its Summer Program for high school students. The Collegiate Summer Program offers participants the opportunity to study theology, philosophy, literature and political science. During the summer program, students also attend daily Mass and enjoy sports, socials and day trips including hiking and canoeing. The program is for students who will be entering their sophomore, junior or senior year of high school in the fall of 2014. It is also open to students who have just graduated high school. The Collegiate Summer Program is a two-week session that runs from Sunday, July 27 – Saturday, August 9, 2014. Register today at! Father Bill's and Mainspring Volunteer Opportunity on Tuesday, July 29, 2014

"Father Bill’s and Mainspring needs your help! The kitchen at Father Bill’s Place in Quincy has a need for groups of 6-8 people to serve lunch and dinner through out the summer. Groups can prepare a meal off -site and then come serve at the shelter or can provide supplies for a meal that will then be assembled and served at the shelter.
